I actually wanted to buy from Faraway Furniture but my hubby said it was all the same stuff so ended up with a set from importers in Yorkshire that we were very happy with last year. The set was advertised as grade A and reduced from £2499 to £799. I notice that the same set is still advertised as reduced and it’s obviously a scam. Just annoyed that I let my husband talk me into it as we have just uncovered the set for spring today and 3 of the 8 chairs have come apart and the table top is warped. We can’t even open and close the table and the wood wedges that slot into each leaf when closed have all come out. A complete waste of £700. They are not replying to our emails and unfortunately, the set is about 2 weeks out of the year guarantee they give. Stupid mistake to make. Feel like I’ve been conned by a double glazing firm. Is there anything we can do?

Bought a 6 seater teak set from Argos a month ago for £999, and have had nothing but problems. The set looked beautiful when we first got it and we did look at the argos reviews before buying and these were good. A month on and the set is slowly deteriorating, the chairs are wobbly, the teak is cracking and I just wish I had see this site before I bought and paid a little more for a fully machine made set with a proper guarantee. Argos give a 2 year guarantee however there are so many exclusions in this so not really worth it. Anyway I will probably be buying soon as doubt this will two years.

same as the others really. bought a set from Humber teak and had to send it back. wanted a faraway set as they got some good reviews including on here but the price was almost twice as much so I decided to call them and they had a ex-display set from their showroom in Radlett. ended up with a set which is infinitely better than the first one and only slightly more expensive and a 10 yr guarantee.

I also wish i read this article before buying. Bought a set from teak4less and have had nothing but trouble. Rude replies and just no aftersales care. My advice to anyone who is buying some outdoor furniture is to save up and buy quality or dont buy at all.

Hello my name is justine and i have been scanning the internet for help , i hope that you have the time to read this email and reply to help me if possible , i came across your website explaining to read before you buy teak /garden furniture ,i unfortunatly dident think to read your website before spontasly buying a garden set , i was just wondering if at all you could find the time to give me some advice i went outside and some of my slats on my table are bowing like they have sunk down and on the other side on of the slats look like it has been twisted and warped , it stated it had been treated with a teak oil before purchase think i have been fooled into buying a cheap set and wanted to know if there is any way i could try and fix this myself as i am not really in a position to pay for it to get fixed , i hope that you could help me as the internet not giving me any information anywhere thankyou for taking the time to read this e mail
